I am a software engineer by trade and live in Washington D.C. area for the past 10 years. Originally I am from Russia, the beautiful ancient city Yaroslavl located some 280 km (175 miles) from Moscow.

My main passion is technology, especially computer technology. I am lucky to have this as my job as well. Other than that, I am well into mechanical puzzles, and the construction of their internal mechanisms. I have a moderately large collection of several hundred unique puzzles. I read a lot, all kinds of literature such as science fiction, thrillers and crime stories, some non-fiction, popular books on economics and all sorts of aspects of our life. Surely, computer science books have their important place here as well. I also watch lots of movies, and as I do with books, I like to watch some movies over and over again hunting for those little details that make some movies so interesting and unique.
